I'm sorry to hear all of this, Pete. It is what it is--this is higher ed right now, unfortunately. I hope someday we'll recover. FWIW, I also think you're processing it very well. I call it head/heart disconnect: knowing that there's nothing you can do and that it's worth moving on, but still dealing with the feelings. Keep on keepin' on, as my mom says. I hope there's better news in coming semesters.
One of my favorite classes at UD! You were a great prof that went beyond just teaching through class from a textbook, but rather dynamically to our interests and needs. I hope they get you more integrated into the EE curriculum because as the power industry ramps up, there are increasingly more needs for people to enter the workforce in this arena.
This is just so unfair and unjustified. Not only do the students not have a say in whether they can participate in this class or not, but they won’t even listen to your opinion on the effects this will have on the students. Although I did not go in the energy/distribution field, I learned a substantial amount of information in this class. Information I can use in my daily life. Who knows what the university will propose as an alternative. Whatever they do, it will not compare to being in person and in this specific class. You taught some of my favorite classes at the university. I am sorry to hear this Professor. I hope the university will see the consequences this will cause, and have a change of mind!
Thanks Victor. It was a pleasure having you in class. You worked pretty hard to stay up with the class even though you knew you weren't going to go into the area, I appreciate that.

Today was the first day of class and I was just alittle sad. But I dealt with it. Finding more projects to occupy my time.
I’m so sorry for your cancelled class, for your students and you. It’s evident you put so much thought into your work. It’s a damn shame.
Thanks. The work will not go wasted. I am building up some ideas for later classes.
Excellent!

This is a genuine shame. I’m sure the group of students that did sign up would’ve benefited from your class. I know this because I took your classes!
Fingers crossed that better opportunities are on the way for you. Remain stoic. 😎👍

Thanks Noah, we will see if the class will make it next Fall.
